Harrington Starr have partnered with one of the world's leading Broker/Exchanges where they are looking for someone to work on their matching and reconciliation platform that interacts with Investment Banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions. There is a flurry around regulation processes in the financial markets at the moment so this is the perfect time to enter the business and gain the experience on a world-class platform.
In this position as a SQL DBA/Developer you will heavily be focused on analysing the current systems and deciding where enhancements and optimizations can be made. You will be building new solutions on top of the current solution platform in relation to business requirements and regulations in place. For this role you will have the opportunity to move into a consultancy positions liaising with the clients face to face so it is a great opportunity to move into a progressive role for the future. You could be someone who has been in a DBA/Developer position for a number of years or someone on their second on third job looking to take on a bigger challenge as there is training on site to facilitate self-growth.
As a SQL DBA/Developer you will need require:
* Strong SQL Knowledge 2+ years- Essential
* Experience optimizing and enhancing SQL systems- Essential
* T-SQL Experience- Essential
* Degree in Engineering or Computer Science- Desirable
* Experience with low level DBA work- Essential
* Dynamic and Adaptable in your work- Essential
