Our client is a leading organization specializing in Performance Optimization, Automated Integration / Delivery and bespoke Enterprise Software Solutions who have a best in class mentality when it comes to sourcing talent and work with prominent Financial Services organisations on complex and intriguing projects. With an ever increasing pipeline of work they require a Senior Build / Integration Engineer with a proven track record in Automation / Continuous Integration of J2EE / WebSphere based solutions.
As a member of a core group of experts in automation you’ll be responsible for the development build and deployment aspects of major projects with a focus on optimizing the software release lifecycle in large and complex environments. In this capacity the team interfaces regularly with the clients in a consultative capacity and interacts with environment and development teams to automate builds and provide technical direction assessing technical risks and issues along the way.
From a technical perspective you’ll leverage on a background in software development, a strong understanding of the SDLC, J2EE technologies and extensions for WebSphere. In addition to this you’ll utilize various continuous integration technologies such as Ant, Python, Ruby, Ivy etc… so previous experience with any / all of these are required. As a Senior J2EE / WebSphere Build / Integration Engineer you’ll provide technical leadership and guidance to members of the build / configuration teams, manage the release of software, design and build high quality automated continuous integration solutions.
Requirements of the role:
NOTE: You MUST already be in Australia and have Australian work rights!
- A strong Application Development / Integration background (5+ years).
- Extensive, demonstrable experience with J2EE / WebSphere (Essential).
- An in-depth understanding of the SDLC.
- A proven track record in Automation / Continuous Integration.
- Excellent scripting skills with any / all: Ant, Hudson, Ruby, Ivy, Python, Groovy, Java.
- Ability to manage projects and lead / mentor technical teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent client facing / stakeholder management skills.
- An IT related degree / industry relevant certifications.
