Sr Proposal Manager Job in Falls Church, Virginia US

Essential Job Functions

Coordinates development and compilation of information from functional elements to aid in proposal development.

Confers with multi-organizational teams to establish production, quality control, and budgetary standards.

Ensures that proposal submissions are compliant with the applicable RFP or RFI instructions.

Interfaces with customer representatives during fact finding and proposal pricing justifications.

Manages proposal efforts using sophisticated project management techniques to control scope, cost and schedule.

Works to contain costs associated with at risk funding and the effective use of resources.

Prepares and presents oral and written reports.

Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Writes and edits proposal narrative based on input from applicable technical and managerial subject matter experts

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Master's degree in business administration or related field preferred

Twelve or more years of proposal preparation and analysis experience

Nine or more years supervisory or management experience included

Experience working with company products, operating systems, and programming languages

Experience working with proposal development

Experience working with the technology industry

Experience working with finance and accounting

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Personal computer and business solutions software skills

Ability to work in a team environment

Willingness to travel

Demonstrated ability to write compelling sales narratives

Association of Proposal Management Professionals certification strongly preferred.
