Sr Quality Analyst Job in Baldwin Park, California Us

Conducts a variety of statistical analyses for reporting purposes ensures their appropriate use by clients. Coordinates complex analytical projects in areas such as, continuous improvement, medical effectiveness, utilization. Provides expertise on operations of clinical services oversight of data collection methodologies. Responsible for maintaining the reliability integrity of the various data base reports.
Essential Functions:
- Integrates several utilization data reporting systems to develop maintain a variety of statistical reports in a format which enables care providers to see variations in practice patterns
- Obtains required consensus needed for revision or termination of reports
- Coordinates maintains the sampling editing procedure of the data collection
- Guides/coaches the clients in the areas of interpretation of regulatory licensing requirements, interpretation, implementation of quality improvement processes
- Participates in the development of quality control improvement indicators, including establishing data sources methods for collection, display, analysis
- Ensures that clients are on target w/ their scheduled activities meet the deadline of the reporting calendars
- Conducts concurrent retrospective reviews utilizing approved indicators
- Identifies trends patterns within a multidisciplinary review
- Provides information to physician profiles based on quality of care focused reviews
- Participates in the development of quality improvement quality control data collection, analysis reporting
- Prepares assists w/ presentation of data activities of multidisciplinary review
- Researches technologies designed to measure improve organizational performance coordinate local implementation as appropriate
- Develops implements systems, procedures forms that increase the efficiency effectiveness of data collection, management, display including statistical process control
- Updates the assigned services Quality Improvement plan on an ongoing basis
- Ensures compliance w/ all federal, state local regulations standards
- Serves as a technical resource to coworkers by assisting in problem resolution for data source analysis
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of experience in a health care setting required
- Significant experience, usually four (4) - five (5) years in medical record administration preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in data collection, use of spreadsheets and/or databases required
- Significant experience (three (3) years) manipulating large, complicated data systems
- Bachelor's degree OR four (4) years of equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
- RRA or ART may be preferred
- Excellent statistical and data management skills
- Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and current classification system coding
- Significant knowledge of JCAHO, Title 22, NCQA and CMA standards and requirements, TQM and tools for indicator development and display
- Proficient with software used in the department

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Minimum of 3 years of PI/Quality improvement experience and working w/ the surgical service line depts.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge experience of quality improvement, statistical analysis, peer/dept. review, regulatory/accreditation agencies (TJC, Title 22, CMS), education management, data management, committee management, core measure abstraction, personnel management, project management
- Strong problem solving skills, conflict resolution, time management skills, group facilitation, teamwork skills.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and ability to write reports, process peer/dept.review, and working experience w/ various systems (eg. MIDAS, Statit, Clarity, KPHC, Visio)
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of adult learning theories
- Must be PC literate, ie. microsoft office applications preferred
- Valid CA driver's license with personal means of transportation preferred
