Sr Tech Trainer Job in Dayton, Ohio US

The position is in the Global Enterprise Information Systems Org in our Global Business Intelligence team. We provide training and support needs for all of LexisNexis business users that use our Analytics tools to retrieve data from our data warehouse. Our enterprise data warehouse houses billing/revenue, products and sales data for many of our back office and front office systems.

1. Determine requirements for employee training and development activities and electronic delivery of training programs and services.
2. Define and manage projects to meet the requirements, ensuring integration/interface with other systems and processes as needed.
3. Conduct needs analysis to determine individual and/or department training requirements and learning or performance gaps; research and evaluate alternatives; compile and synthesize results; and propose solutions that meet customer requirements
4. Consult with LEXIS-NEXIS internal experts and external vendors, as required, to ensure accuracy of training materials. Negotiate for internal resources to assist in the development and/or evaluation of training programs.
5. Design, revise, maintain and/or coordinate training programs or curricula which meet customer needs and expectations. This includes: developing and/or expanding subject matter expertise; preparing learning goals and objectives; defining program content, scope and sequence of learning activities; determining instructional methods, producing course materials (job aids and lesson plans/instructor guides, and training manuals)
6. Deliver training, which supports the LEXIS-NEXIS Group. This includes: working with the training coordinator to ensure all scheduling, record-keeping and administrative tasks are completed; creating a collaborative learning environment; conducting formal (structured) and informal training sessions; instructor-led facilitation and learning experiences, managing/facilitating group discussions, providing follow-up feedback to trainees and managers, as appropriate
7. Represent Global Business Intelligence on cross functional projects which require training interventions
8. Collect and publish Data defintions as new data is collected in the Data Warehouse and update trianing materials and data dictionaries as required.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferably in Education, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
3 years experience delivering technical software training.
Dynamic and engaging classroom presence.
Energetic and self-motivated with strong interpersonal, persuasion and facilitation skills with people of different levels, backgrounds and personality styles.
Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously without management supervision.
Experience delivering onsite customer training preferred.
Experience customizing training classes to fulfill unique customer requirements.
Superb oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and proven analytical, methodical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.
Computer and Internet savvy (experience with CRM software and/or SQL databases desirable).
Team player in a highly demanding environment.
Willingness to share knowledge and expertise with team members.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
Interest in the challenge, excitement, and responsibility of a fast pace, growth environment.
