Identifies, prospects  and cultivates new opportunities with sub-advisory candidates  and/or clients. Initiates and follows up on new business opportunities, leads new business meetings, and closes sales to sub-advisory opportunities. Articulates SSgA's broad lineup of product solutions. Responsible for maintaining and expanding existing client relationships. 

An ideal candidate will have a track record of successful sales in the sub-advisory market with particular emphasis in the variable annuity, mutual funds, asset manager  and DCIO business.

Introduce and consult with research analyst teams to SSgA's product solutions and capabilities.

• Develop and implement a strategic plan to partner with key sub-advisory relationships.

• Provide investment ideas, guidance and advice to investment management teams

• Participate in Industry and Distribution Partner Conferences

 Qualifications:

• College degree, MBA a +

• 10+ years experience in investment sales

• NASD Series 6 or 7 and Series 63

• CFA or CFA candidate a bonus

• Demonstrated knowledge of investment management

* Demonstrates sales success to sub-advisory clients

*Demonstrated, insurance and mutual fund product knowledge.

• Awareness of legal and compliance issues related to registered investment products.

• Excellent sales, networking, negotiation, communication and presentation skills.

• Self-motivated, results focused.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
