Submissions Manager Job in Kent, Southern UK

The Company:

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a prestigious property company based in Kent.  My client is looking to recruit a submissions manager who will report directly to the Head of Business Development.

 

You will use your technical and management skills to support the delivery of the firm’s business plan by being a dedicated resource for the management and execution of submission activity. You will manage the resources to deliver the bid pipeline and maintain and improve the quality of submissions, bidding processes and systems in order to achieve business efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Alongside this you will manage the submissions and marketing executive in relation to their submission work.

 

The Responsibilities:

·         Identifying and maintaining sources of OJEUS, online portals and other sources of tender opportunities

·         Working with Business Development, Business Development Partner and other Senior Partners to prioritise Head of and filter opportunities in line with Business Plan and other business drivers.

·         Working with the Head of Business Development, Partners and/or Bid Partner to identify the bid proposition and a strategy for winning the bid.

·         Managing submission and tender workload by working with Submissions Marketing Executive, Business Development Manager, Partners and technical staff

·         Managing and undertaking production of PQQ and technical information for submissions including liaison with Partners and technical staff

·         Copywriting and editing PQQ and tender answers based on a range of sources including previous submissions and material provided by technical staff.

·         Managing and undertaking production of final submission documents and presentation materials

·         Working throughout the practice to ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.

·         Ensuring all relevant management information is captured and management information and reports are produced

·         Maintaining, updating and improving practice information such as CVs, qualification lists, project lists, project sheets etc

·         Develop and maximise the use of Business Development support software (currently SANT) in conjunction with the Head of Business Development

·         Lead improvements in submissions, processes and systems.

·         Responsible for supporting, and where agreed leading on marketing projects and initiatives.

·         Providing support through the use of appropriate DTP software (currently InDesign),

·         Attend business development and marketing meetings

·         Attend marketing events where necessary

·         General support as required in connection with marketing activities

 

The Person

·         Strong understanding of the submission process for property and/or professional services. This should include experience in public sector procurement

·         Excellent copywriting and editing skills (NB role requires the demonstration of ability to lead generation of submission material from scratch, not simply to edit material created by others)

·         Ability to work unsupervised alongside other professionals, take day to day responsibility for his/her own work and manage staff/resources to deliver multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines.

·         Experience and understanding of the services that a multidisciplinary property consultancy provides, or good evidence of the ability to learn.

·         Strong grasp of written English and ability to create and edit documents that are visually pleasing and straightforward to read

·         Able to work with senior and technical staff and managers to deliver material
