Job Description:
Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is seeking a highly energetic individual for a newly created position. SGT is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization. We are seeking a self-driven individual to complement our growing team.

Responsibilities include:
•Provide guidance and direction to support and train staff as it relates to solutions and initiatives.
•System design, build, and deployment of server hardware and software components.
•Manage multi-tiered application environments, including their design, implementation, and capacity/scaling challenges.
•Third party software installation, kernel configuration, file system and volume group management, performance tuning.

Requirements include:
• Minimum of 7-10 years of business strategy and technology experience, content and co-location/hosting, managed services and Systems Integration. Experience with evolving Cloud solutions.
•Heavy subject matter expertise in virtualization solutions (compute, storage, OS, etc.), various Cloud services and platform architectures (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, etc.), distributed and Cloud computing strategies (including private cloud, public cloud, hybrid cloud, virtual desktop, etc),
•Experience with virtualization, hyper visors and systems architecture.
•Solid understanding of IT infrastructure from the physical layer to the middleware layer.
•Aptitude to quickly come up to speed on new technology concepts.
•Self-starter with ability to manage cross-functional programs and add immediate value.
•Ability to translate technology features into business benefits.
•VMWare ESX/vSphere v4/v5 experience with emphasis on site recovery and knowledge of various vendor SRA’s.
•Understand capacity planning and disaster recovery.
•Microsoft and VMWare Qualifications/Certification is a plus.
•Bachelor’s Degree or higher in IT related field of study or at least 4 years applicable experience implementing virtualization tools and concepts (VMware, XEN, Hyper-V, etc.).

Security Clearance:
Must be US citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the Top Secret level.
