System Technician Job in Gambrills 21054, Maryland US
USmax Corporation is looking for a System Technician to provide support at a Desktop Systems and Networking level.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in all aspects of Help Desk processes and technology asset management
- Provide application support for Outlook and the MS Office Suite and assist with disaster recovery tasks including periodic validation of disaster recovery procedures
- Support Windows XP, 2000, and Win 7 Desktop
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues for LAN, WAN and WLAN
- Provide hardware support for network attached devices to include; routers, switches, servers, desktop, laptop, printers, scanners, wireless devices and PDA’s
- Provide remote support utilizing extensive tools in G2A, LogMeIn.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education Experience
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in computer Science or commensurate industry experience
- 1-3 years experience supporting a help desk environment
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- CompTIA Network+ Certification
- Microsoft Systems Certifications such as MCP – Win7
Knowledge Skills
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Microsoft Systems Certifications such as MCP, MCSA, or MCTIP
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with VERITAS or related data backup/recovery application
- ITIL Foundation V3 Certification
