POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintenance of the network infrastructure to include data network planning, implementation, engineering, integration, design, technical services and support.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Network Services Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical analysis in data network planning, engineering and design.
- Coordinate both internal and 3rd party maintenance of network infrastructure
- Coordinate and perform installation of infrastructure hardware and application software.
- Perform Level II technical support such as problem isolation, resolution and documentation
- Define and implement processes, procedures and tools to ensure operational excellence to include developing uniform operations procedures for LAN/WAN hardware and software.
- Evaluate LAN/WAN hardware and software, establish technical criteria, evaluate requirements, and tender recommendations
- Establish and document standards for network architecture and plans; coordinate total network integration
- Formulate programming and configuration system changes for software applications to facilitate systems interoperability.
- Perform set-up and configuration of analysis, monitoring and support tools
Additional Responsibilities:
- Be available for on-call rotation
- Assist in the direction of Level I support staff to maintain optimal responsiveness
- Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and peripheral hardware/software interfaces including routers, switches, WAPs, gateways, bridges, VLANs, Structured cabling systems, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university. (Area of Study in Information Technology preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working experience with one or more network infrastructure and server technologies such as security (firewalls, Routers, switches), monitoring systems, disaster recovery, SANs (NetApp, HP), Citrix, VMware IIS, backup systems, etc.
