Job Description Job Description: Cardiology Systems Associate Analyst, General Summary The associate analyst is responsible for the day-to-day support of assigned Cardiology information systems. Applicant will be responsible for first tier support, troubleshooting and routine maintenance of Hardware/Software information systems for clinical labs (Cath, Echo, EP, Holter, and EKG), testing applications, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of new and existing software applications. Applicant reports to the Cardiovascular Applications Manager and the Director- IS QA Support, Cardiac Invasive Services. The candidate must demonstrate superior organizational, time management, and communication skills, as well as intellectual independence and initiative. Candidate must be dependable and possess the eagerness and ability to learn new systems. The ability to work both as part of a team and independently is essential to this role. Principle Duties and Skills ? Must possess good analytical abilities ? Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills ? Coordinate activities between Users, Cardiology IS Support team and vendors to resolve issues ? Can complete tasks with minimal guidance or manager follow-up ? Can interact effectively with users from all positions, work efficiently in stressful situations be at ease in various clinical and technical environments ? Will be required to Work off hours, weekends and evenings as needed to provide system critical support ? Must willing to carry a pager for 24/7 support, when scheduled ? Provide user and system support for all Cardiology clinical labs ? Troubleshoot Network connectivity issues for Cardiac imaging systems ? Assist in managing libraries of cardiac imaging media to ensure timely availability for patient care ? Conduct preventive maintenance on cardiology workstations for multiple systems ? Identify root problems, solutions and ability to escalate issues appropriately for timely resolution ? Must be well organized and systematic in work process ? Must remotely check multiple systems from offsite to verify various systems are user ready ? Daily health checks for multiple systems and servers including: event logs, server room environment checks, virus definition updates, vendor approved Windows updates, firmware updates, verify daily backups and back tape/media management ? Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks and follow through to completion ? Demonstrate comfort working in a group setting ? Must be able to work with external groups and vendors ? Willing to seek and accept guidance from those with advanced experience ? Able to test and setup hardware/software in integrated environments Qualifications ? B.S. required ? Good understanding of common software applications, Windows XP, Windows 7, networking, troubleshooting (familiarity with Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 is preferred) ? Good understanding of PC hardware and Microsoft operating systems (CompTIA A+ Certification is a plus) ? Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all personality types Work Conditions ? Office environment with visits server rooms and patient care areas including the Cardiac Echo lab, Cath lab, CCU and OR; where there will be limited patient contact ? Working off shifts (eves, nights, weekends, holidays) will be required during implementations, troubleshooting and when systems are down ? On-call coverage for off shifts will be required at various times based on implementations
