Responsibilities:
- Follow established processes and procedures.
- Order, receive, and maintain an approved level of inventory for plant repair and maintenance.
- Operate and maintain a company assigned vehicle in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular communication throughout shift with Dispatch, NOC, TAC, CSTs, Lead, Managers, and hub technicians as required.
- Maintain positive relationships with other local utilities and government agencies.
- Follow required procedures for establishing and maintaining a safe work zone.
- Participate in 24-hour on-call rotation.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports and submits to appropriate person(s) in a timely manner.
- Maintain punctual and reliable work habits and attendance.
- Maintain a weight that is in compliance with manufacturer specifications for the safe use of ladders, bucket trucks, and similar devices.
- Successful completion of any Soft Skills/RCN technical training, or other training courses as required.
- Maintain a consistently high level of productivity, professionalism, and work quality.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalency required.
NCTI Certifications are a plus.
Three to five years telecom experience.
Understanding of basic broadband network applications, terms, equipment, and cable.
- Ability to operate various hand tools as needed.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to work any shift that meets operational and customer needs.
- Ability to work alone or in teams in stressful and demanding work environments.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and handle a ladder on a continual basis throughout a work shift.
- Solid understanding of, and adherence to, safety procedures and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Ability to accurately calculate signal loss.
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, design maps, and various symbols related to a broadband network.
- Ability to work in confined and/or elevated workspaces.
