JOB SUMMARY:

The Talent Specialist is responsible for the review and selection of candidates for presentation to the client hiring managers. Supports clients in a high quality, cost effective manner across multiple client engagements. Works under general supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the short-listing stage of the requisition life cycle through the use of Vendor Management System (VMS) technology. Ensures the use of VMS technology for cost-effective, timely, and high quality results.

Reviews assigned requisitions to understand specific requirements and client hiring manager and/or departmental preferences. References additional materials available to ensure understanding of client preferences and culture. Consults and coordinates with Requisition Manager, Service Delivery Manager and others to better understand clients’ needs and to maximize level of service.

Reviews candidates presented by supplier partner for short-listing consideration. Conducts qualitative review of resumes and candidate criteria for best fit to client requirements. Relies on skill, discipline, expertise and business intelligence to build the final candidate pool.

Maintains awareness of market salaries, and industry staffing trends for use in determining appropriate balance of cost and candidate skill. Utilizes VMS ranking tools as an input to candidate evaluation. In the absence of VMS enabled ranking, the Talent Specialist applies a pre-defined, consistent methodology for candidate ranking. May be required to provide executive summary of final candidate pool to client hiring managers.

Conducts rehire eligibility validation with a pre-defined process (in the absence of VMS enabled verification). Applies client business rules as well as relevant HR Policy and Law when validating rehire eligibility. Short-lists sufficient candidates to meet client demand. Escalates supplier partner performance on specific requisitions to Requisition Manager for timely resolution.

Participates in daily requisition meetings and frequent prioritization of open orders. Work with all parties within MSP organization for problem resolution.

Works to meet all existing SLA’s (internal and contractual) and works to improve overall process by recommending improvements. Works to meet or exceed individual and group production targets.

Supports the recruitment and retention of newly acquired talent within the organization. Assists with training of peers in the standards and practices within the Delivery organization.

Maintains a culture of continuous improvement. Works to maintain relevant business insight to support the MSP organization specifically related to skill discipline. Makes recommendations to improve efficiencies where applicable.
