Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Job in Bay Shore 11706, New York Us
Organize all therapeutic components of the After School therapeutic recreation program to include ongoing assessment and evaluation, activity plans, and ongoing training and support of staff.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or in recreation with a concentration in therapeutic recreation
- Certified by the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Specialists
- Two (2) years experience with the developmentally disabled
- Complete (within 90 days of hire) and maintain required trainings in SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention), First Aid, CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) and MAT (Medication Administration Training).
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
