1.    Permanent Full Time

2.    $70,013 - $76,459 p.a.

 

Accountabilities include:

·         Review federal, state and local government planning documents to assess their implications for Transport and Main Roads, and provide response to those documents on behalf of the Metropolitan Region.

·         Provide specialist advice in respect to the application of the Sustainable Planning Act (SPA) 2009.

·         Assist in the identification and provide advice on modifications or adaption’s to town planning documents

·         Manage small projects throughout their life cycle including the efficient application of project management tools in relation to town planning.

·         Assist in the co-ordination of all relevant tasks to ensure successful completion of activities within time, quality, cost and stakeholders expectations.

·         Apply relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements in respect to strategic land use planning and transport planning.

·         Liaise and consult with a range of internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to road infrastructure and transport activities and strategic land use planning activities in the region.

·         This role reports to the Program Manager (Corridor Management)

 

Mandatory requirements:

·         Possession of tertiary qualifications in Town Planning from a recognised tertiary institution which is acceptable for corporate membership of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).

 

Desirable requirements:

·         Current holder of a Class C driver’s licence.
