The Mine Geologist position will see you reporting to the Project Mine Geologist within a highly supportive and experienced geology team. You will map faces, complete sampling programmes and core logging. You will work across multiple disciplines to help ensure that targets are achieved and your ability to work effectively with a diverse team will be crucial to this success. You will take an active role in daily production and will be expected to direct all underground developments by supervising and mentoring geotechnicians.
The role requires more than 2 years experience working as a mine geologist and a solid understanding of health safety standards is essential. You will bring strong communication skills that will allow you to interact across all areas of the mine and direct the underground activities. You will also offer sound computer literacy and any exposure to Datamine, Acquire and Pitram will be a distinct advantage.
The position is offered on an attractive FIFO basis from Perth and a competitive day rate will be offered subject to experience. With an immediate start, this is an initial 6 month contract and has the potential to become a permanent role for the right person.
