Unix Engineer Job in Middlesex, London Uk
Lead Unix Engineer urgently required to work in Middlesex on an initial 6 month contract.
You will be responsible for the Enterprise Server environment: Sun / Oracle and HP Hardware running Solaris and Redhat operating systems. Including, Offsite Data Centre operations and support of remote offices and the Enterprise Storage environment: Symantec Netbackup Technology and/or SAN and NAS Storage.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background working as a Lead Unix Engineer / Lead Unix Systems Administrator within a Solaris / Redhat environment. Extensive experience of Symantec Netbackup Technology in a lead capacity and/or SAN and NAS Storage.
Experience of working to ITIL / SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) processes. Any certifications on the following: Solaris (SCSA / SCNA), Redhat (RHCE), NetApp (NCDA / NCIE) and Symantec (SCS) certifications would be a distinct advantage.
Please note there will be occasional travel with this position.
