About the Job
St. Joseph's/Candler Health System in Savannah, GA Vice President for the Foundations. Reporting directly to the President/CEO of St. Joseph's/Candler Health System, the Vice President will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Foundations which include identification, cultivation and solicitations of gift income from key donor prospects and the stewardship of all donors. Additional responsibilities include: evaluating the performance of development officers; overseeing the annual fund and supervising both traditional and innovative fund raising programs, special events and planned giving. While maintaining a portfolio of potential prospects, the Vice President will work in concert with the President/CEO developing his/her portfolio of special prospects. The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge of and an affinity for the Southern culture that embraces southeast Georgia and the South Carolina low country. Additional qualifications include: demonstrated success in major gift prospect research; knowledge of planned gifting vehicles; experience in governance of volunteer Boards and 10 years of professional development experience.
