Vice President, FX Product Specialist, MarkitSERV
The FX Product Specialist is responsible for a large selection of FX initiatives. The main aspect of the role concerns Product Design, which involves putting together high-level business requirement documents for new initiatives and enhancements to existing functionality. You will be engaged with all internal MarkitSERV teams, coordinating the various aspects to the rolling out of enhanced functionality and new initiatives. You will be responsible for producing and coordinating related external client education and support, as well as representing MarkitSERV in industry working groups. As you grow in the role, you will become responsible for client engagement, identifying key clients, creating and maintaining valuable client relationships and identifying potential new business opportunities.
More specifically your tasks will include:
- Draft Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) that outline the high-level business objectives for new functionality and/or workflows
- Work to prioritize platform enhancements and designing new functional and workflow solutions
- Work with Delivery Managers / PMO to slate platform enhancements and resources
- Provide guidance to Business Analysts with respect to the analysts’ development of detailed Technical and Functional Specifications
- Provide guidance to Internal Testing and UAT teams with respect to the testers’ development of test plans and test scripts
- Educate the Sales, Account Management, and Operations team on new functionality and workflows, and expected needs to support these
- Participate in industry working groups
- Support product manager in client meetings
Business competencies
Education and experience
- University degree (or equivalent experience) which may have been gained in a subject such as Engineering, Sciences or Maths
- Experience with OTC derivative operations experience preferred
Commercial awareness
- Able to demonstrate interest in staying abreast of industry developments
Management requirements
- People management experience is preferred, but not required
- Project management experience, including planning of project phasing and prioritization exercises is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work with various internal teams with their own skillset
