Here's how a visual designer at Patch spends their time

    •    Concepting visual designs for new products and features
    •    Detailed design including interactive elements, icons, and motion
    •    Testing design with simple prototypes and motion tests
    •    Presenting to the team and management
    •    Contributing to the style guide and design patterns
    •    Collaborating with interaction designers, developers, and QA to refine interaction and implement designs
    •    Staying fresh and contributing to the creative environment
    •    Learning about our users and their aesthetic and interaction sensibilities
    •    Advocating for and delivering design excellence in everything we make

About You
We’re looking for someone to come share our vision for the future of Patch
    •    3+ years of interactive experience and formal training (either agency or in-house experience ok)
    •    Layout skills and an experienced eye for color typography
    •    A solid understanding of designing user interfaces with complex interaction and motion
    •    Strong conceptual thinking Intimate knowledge of relevant industry tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
    •    Strong leadership skills - ability to collaborate with and guide production designers
    •    Experience collaborating with interaction designers, developers, and product/project managers
    •    Willingness to empathize with and design for our target audience Production and prototyping skills in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS a plus
