Job Summary and Purpose: The Voice Systems Engineer will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of a multi-vendor environment and maintaining all Operating systems environments and hardware platforms which can include server, mainframe and PBX.
• Serves as technical point of contact for equipment and operating systems installs
• Maintains system configuration changes across all platforms by adhering to change control practices and guidelines
• Provides solutions to complex hardware/software problems
• Improves various processes by working with the IT team structure
• Collaborates with IT peers and end users and provide exceptional customer service

Requirements and Primary Selection Criteria: • Bachelor’s Degree
• 7+ years of voice/PBX networking experience
• 3 + years of solid technical understanding of operating system architectures
• Operating system proficiency in MVS, Microsoft, UNIX, PBX or Data network technologies
• Experience providing technical support and System Administration for Nortel’s Contact Center 6.0., call pilot and call accounting telephone applications
• Decrease outage vulnerability for the PBX switch and its server components.
• Knowledge of  internal voice conferencing technologies
• Experience working with a technical systems engineering team to design and architect an operating environment based on business needs
• Ability to review  telephone service; analyzed the results and programmed telephone systems to facilitate efficiency and to improve customer services
• Ability to solve technical problems independently and quickly
• Strong communication skills and customer service skills
