The Role:

Reporting to the head of Moody?s Asia Pacific Relationship Management team, this role requires a senior and dynamic individual with strong knowledge of the debt markets, and outstanding relationship and negotiation skills.

 

The individual will be responsible for strategic relationship management of Moody?s network of intermediary contacts and existing client base in Asia (ex Japan and Korea), with the objective of maximizing revenue opportunities. An additional component of the role is the coordination of specific account management activities and projects across the Asia Pacific region.

 

The individual will be well versed in achieving success in negotiations using techniques developed in response to individual customer value propositions. A key goal of this strategy involves growing Moody?s ratings coverage in the region with a primary focus on debt issuance ratings and related services for corporates and financial institutions. 

 

Responsibilities:

?     Lead a small team of locally-based account management professionals, with responsibility for delivering on new rating service and revenue targets in respect of Moody?s existing client portfolio. Important also is support of the team in providing an outstanding service response to client administration issues on an ongoing basis.

?     Drive a sophisticated approach to managing relationships with the  key financial intermediaries servicing the ratings business in the region.

?     Undertake a systematic regional calling plan and other marketing activities aimed at extending Moody?s returns from its existing client portfolio. He/she will keep abreast of market dynamics for all ratings-related  opportunities in the region and effectively communicate these as appropriate to business development peers and senior management.

?     Coordinate and oversee specific projects for the Account Management function in the Asia Pacific region, working in conjunction with other regional Vice Presidents and the Head of Relationship Management.

?     In all these activities, the individual will be required to maintain particularly close working relationships with peers across the Asia Pacific region, both within the Relationship Management team and in other groups.

Requirements:

?     MBA or Masters level preferred.

?     Should have gained extensive business experience dealing at senior level in relationship banking, debt capital markets, business consulting or related roles.

?     Corporate analysis experience and  management/leadership exposure will be an advantage.

?     Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects are essential.

?     Mandarin speakers are encouraged to apply.

?     Travel within Asia required.
