JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Operator  is responsible for the expedient and accurate handling of materials andor finished products into and/or out of the warehouse facility; utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, or other handling equipment to move materials to and from trucks, warehouses and within manufacturing and packaging facilities.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

•                      Reports to the Warehouse Manager.

•                      Move merchandise by hand, hand truck or forklift equipment to maintain continuous flow of merchandise.

•                      Unload and stock incoming materials; pick outgoing materials and load outbound trailers.

•                      Check, verify and audit merchandise and enters data into remote data terminal to ensure that ordered    
            materials have been received and that merchandise is as ordered and not damaged or defective.

•                      Identify, separate, label, and palletize materials to be relocated to appropriate area.

•                      May operate a forklift to move and pull away materials. Replenishes staging areas identified by         replenishment reports and various request for needed merchandise.

•                      Perform cycle counts and physical inventory when required.

•                      Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

•                      Report damages and/or vendor compliance issues.

•                      Resolve problems or discrepancies with help from immediate manager/designee.

•                      Meet department demands without sacrificing quality.

•                      Upkeep the warehouse and maintain a state of control.

•                      Maintain an acceptable level of attendance based on attendance policy

•                      Ensure safety techniques are used in all aspects of daily work responsibilities.

•                      Mentor Warehouse Operator I. Work under general supervision.

•                      Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

•                      Able to work overtime and weekends when required.

•                      May require to drive company truck

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.

·         Customer service oriented.

·         Knowledge of stand-up forklift operation.

·         Ability to bend and reach overhead.

·         Must be able to work on weekends when necessary.

 

EDUCATION:

 

·         High School Diploma or equivalent with 3-6 years of experience

·         SAP experience required.

·         Certified on using forklifts.

·         May require a CDL.
