Position Description:

Under direction from the Assistant General Manager, the Selling Director is responsible for building sales volume, establishing and maintaining customer relationships, creating effective teamwork, and developing sales associate talent. This role is responsible for maximizing department volume in accordance with all store and company goals, policies, procedures, and techniques. The incumbent will also act to facilitate change and drive a high performance selling environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership and team building to the department and associates in driving sales, service, and profitability.
2. Facilitate staff development: recruitment and selection of service oriented associates, providing performance feedback and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
3. Proactively generate ideas to develop business opportunities and maximize sales to achieve or exceed all financial goals (Sales, Earnings, Shortage, etc) established for the department.
4. Focus on sales and profitability; establish and maintain customer focus standards, set work pace and deliver on store goals.
5. Provide oversight in the training, coaching and motivatation of all associates to achieve company goals, evaluate performance and provide feedback.
6. Oversee merchandise opportunities, set merchandising standards, evaluate merchandise performance and adjust merchandise presentation to meet sales objectives.
7. Ongoing education of sales associates in regards to merchandise, events, policies and procedures.
8. Create and maintain a high performance team and enviroment
9. All other store initiatives as directed.

Qualifications:

Requirements
" Bachelors degree preferred
" Demonstrated track record of customer focus sales growth
" 5-7 year's management experience with comparable volume or a proven track record of success managing a business in the service sector.
" Must exhibit sound business judgment, demonstrated people management and organizational ability.
" Energy, attention to detail, initiative, leadership and enthusiasm are required.
" Demonstrated ability to manage, develop and motivate people while driving company initiatives.
" Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
" All SFA managers are required to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes, evenings, weekends and holidays.
