WORKERS COMPENSATION ANALYST – HUMAN RESOURCES Job in Jonesboro 30236, Georgia US

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as central resource and department representative with regards to the oversight of third party administrators, and all risk management activities; assist the Coordinator in short and long range goals, objectives and overall direction for the District’s Risk Management initiatives and efforts. Time spent: 25%

 

Research, analyze, assemble, and summarize data in order to prepare a variety of reports related to unemployment and work injuries. · Interpret workers' compensation law, regulations, and programs to administrative personnel and other employees. Deliver training to District employees in order to meet all pertinent workers' compensation laws and regulations. Time Spent: 25%

 

Manage and track unemployment and workers’ compensation insurance claim activity. Collaborates with central office units on return to work and disability management. Coordinate all contacts with claims adjusters, insurance carriers, courts of law, attorneys involving claims and litigation an employee return to work program. Time Spent:  20%

 

Handle complaints, concerns, and questions by telephone or in person; and serve as the contact person with such people as employees, DOL, hospital and/or clinic personnel, physicians, employee supervisor, etc., to obtain and provide information where judgment, knowledge and interpretation of policies, procedures and regulations are required.Prepare and testify as a subject matter expert at state hearings on related matters. Time Spent: 20%

 

All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above services. Time Spent: 10%
