1200328 – Cryogenic Plant Machinist Technician

Under the supervision of a Rehab shop leader, this position performs advanced repairs and rebuilds of a variety of mechanical equipment. Equipment would include compressors (centrifugal, screw, reciprocating), blowers, misc pumps and gear boxes. As a part of the rebuild process, employee will also be performing the following duties; detailed equipment inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, feeler gauges etc. Involves documenting findings and rebuilds using processes in place as well as current CMMS program. Necessary clerical duties including purchasing parts and supplies, expediting orders, tracking expenses and accounts to be charged etc. Supervising any contract employees working in the shop, using overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, rigging equipment etc. Extensive use of hand and power tools. Some field work w/travel up to 15% of the time.
Requirements:
This position requires a knowledgeable and creative individual, capable of working in a variety of areas solving, often complex, unconventional problems. Minimum Qualifications: Strong mechanical skills - 3 to 5 years of experience as industrial mechanic or machinist, strong math skills, strong communication skills, strong computer skills including (Office, Lotus Notes, etc). Must be willing/able to relocate to a future location.
Education Requirements: Desired Qualifications Machinist Apprenticeship Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or associated field Machine shop experience.
