About the Job
The Communications Analyst will assist with the planning, production and distribution of employee and corporate communications. This role will also oversee timeline management and budget tracking for multiple projects in the department's work queue.
- Maintain production schedule and calendar of upcoming events for corporate and employee communication activities and projects
- Coordinate with team members to ensure project schedules are being met and expenditures remain within budget.
- Partner with team members to ensure strong communication, thereby creating efficiencies within the group.
- Plan and coordinate photo shoots, video shoots, interviews, employee town hall meetings.
- Assist with video production tasks such as booking facilities, scheduling actors, obtaining camera permits, creating shot lists, organizing props, etc.
- Plan, coordinate and execute fulfillment of employee and/or corporate communication materials.
- Work with a network of contacts at LyondellBasell's global facilities to obtain site/regional newsletters, photos and videos of local events and to gather input for potential story ideas. Provide corporate content to these contacts for potential use in their local communication tools.
- Conduct online research to gather facts and information about various topics. This may include industry benchmarking, checking copyright/permission issues, locating potential vendors/venues in certain regions or procuring supplies/props for use in videos, photographs or special events.
- Respond to general inquiries and information requests from internal clients. Ensure corporate templates, leadership bios and other communication materials are updated on a regular basis.
- Route communications and obtain necessary content approvals prior to publication. Work with other team members to coordinate posting of approved content to the intranet and internet sites.
- The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, results-oriented self-starter, enthusiastic to take initiative and who can work independently as well as part of a team. High standards of trustworthiness, credibility, integrity, reliability and confidentiality are required.
- Some travel (less than 10%) may be required.
- Previous work experience within a petrochemical manufacturing facility is a plus. A TWIC card is mandatory; some projects will require spending time and/or working within manufacturing facilities. Candidate must be familiar with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Requires strong interpersonal/communication skills, a professional demeanor and customer service orientation to interact with employees at levels of the organization. Must be friendly, well spoken and able to find solutions to problems/conflicts while working in a team environment.
- The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, efficient, and possess a take charge attitude in making sure projects are moving forward to a successful conclusion.
