Title: Pre/Post Engineer
Job Location: Washington, DC
Our customer is seeking a Sr. Presales Engineer/Solution Architect with NCDA or NCIE certification.
Responsibilities:
- Presentation of technical capabilities and features of network, storage, virtualization, and security services to customers and prospective customers
- Service design analysis and suggestions to customers. Identifying and architecting technology solutions to fit customer’s requirements
Timely response to any customer questions or requests for materials. - On-site or remote demonstration of service functionality.
Assistance in the development of RFI/RFP responses. - Implementation experience include: Design, engineering, deployment and testing of Net APP or other storage solutions including solutions.
- Remote administration and problem resolution of customer networks and the internal network.
- Assist in extending Bear Data Solutions footprint on client engagements and generate additional sales opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Experienced IT professional with 5+ years overall experience and minimum of 5 years providing storage solutions to government customers.
- 5 years prior experience deploying VMWare and Citrix virtualization solutions.
- Must be a US citizen and be able to pass in depth background checks.
- Experience in pre-sales technical support working with sales people in sales a capacity.
- Experience in the design and delivery of customer-facing presentations.
- Networking: knowledge of Ethernet, IP, DNS and NIS associated daemons.
- VMWare knowledge and/or virtualization principles as well as Symantec Net Back-up and Enterprise Vault experience a plus
- Prefer sales or deployment experience with NetApp storage solutions.
- 3 + years of direct hands-on experience with NetApp storage arrays in a large environment (10-50 Controllers).
- Experience installing and configuring NetApp clusters, SnapMirror, SnapVault, Operatoins Manager, Data Protection Manager, SnapMangaer of SQL, SnapManager for Exchange, SnapManager for Sharepoint, SnapManger for ESX, CIFS.
- Experience with iSCSI and NetApp FC configuration
- Experience with Brocade FC switches.
- NCDA or NCIE certification preferred.
- Prefer good knowledge of storage administration and the concepts of file systems, disk partitions, mounts, quotas, mirroring and sizing.
- Good knowledge of NAS, DAS, SAN (fabric attached architectures), FCOE.
