1st Level Helpdesk Remote Support Specialist (URGENT – Permanent, 1 year experience) recruitment
Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities in this role will be to provide services to all business lines with focus supporting U.S. lines of businesses during U.S. overnight period. You will be responding to telephone inquiries concerning technical support, processing or request procedures, systems status and network connectivity. You will be involved in documenting and resolving basic break fix problems regarding business applications, hardware and software. You will also be responsible for recording, resolving or directing requests to appropriate technical area or vendor, track status and follow up to ensure client statisfaction. Your responsibilities also cover working on special projects assigned
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must be at least a Higher Diploma holder in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical discipline. Degree holder highly preferred. A minimum of 1 year hands-on IT experience in a helpdesk support capacity. You must have proficient knowledge of computer hardware and software with experience supporting Rightfax systems, Windows XP, Active Directory, Windows 2003, MS Office 2003, Microsoft IE 6.0, email platforms. If you have experience in AS400, this will be an advantage. In addition, you will be working independently with minimum supervision and be able to show your proactiveness plus positive attitude. You are also a self-starter with ability to acquire new skills autonomously, and having the willingness and ability to take lead in a demanding environment. You must have an excellent command of written and spoken English. You must be able to work on flexible hours, this includes shift hours in any 5 days from Monday to Sunday and Public Holidays
