2 x PRODUCT CONTROL – COMMODITIES PRODUCT CONTROLLER & EXOTICS RATES PRODUCT CONTROLLER recruitment
With continued growth in the Emerging Markets and Commodities business we are seeking 2 product controllers to join our client in Singapore. Covering various Commodities products and Exotic Rates you will be working directly with the Head of Business PC functions and you will be exposed to the front to back functions with daily interaction with traders
They are keen for someone to join the team who can be more independent and show initiative with the business and to review/oversee juniors work.
Responsibilities:
- Daily analysis and production of PL, ensuring integrity of data reported in a controlled environment.
- Business support in terms of advising on structured transactions, assisting new product launches, providing quality MIS, and accommodating any ad hoc requests.
- Supporting the GM and Country CFOs in the development and maintenance of a robust control environment around the Commodities product set.
- Contact point for auditors, both internal and external, and local regulators.
- Providing MIS around PL analytics, risk based PL explanation, and Performance
- Commentary. Detailed planning and budgetary support will be required.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and compliance of the Global Markets Group Accounting Policy.
- Responsible for continued development and testing of a Business Continuity Plan in so far as it relates to Commodities.
- Development of consistent booking models across the Bank’s transaction processing systems.
Key Measurables:
- 5 years minimum experience in Product Control
- Strong accounting background, CA/CPA/ACA or equivalent Top tier University degree
- Experience in complex products desirable (for example Interest Rate Exotics, Commodity Derivatives, FX Exotic Options)
- Experience in onshore Commodities
Business Skills:
- A demonstrable interest in financial markets, global economics and investment banking regulatory changes
- A confident and articulate self-starter with the ability to cope with the demands of working within tight deadlines
- Can solve problems effectively and creatively
- Excellent communication skills in both formal and informal settings ability to interact with the region and as part of
- A strong internal control environment, which will ensure the COMMODITIES EXOTIC RATES business, continues to grow in a stable and well-controlled manner.
