2 x Project Managers for Market-Leading Energy focussed Consultancy – £65,000
My client is a world-renowned market-leading Energy Consultancy that is looking to hire 2 experienced Project Manager to work on site at Oil Gas Majors, Commodity Trading Houses and Commodity Trading Desk at Global Investment Banks.
Due to a very healthy project pipeline and a very successful 2012 H1 2013, my client are expanding aggressively, and crucially need to hire 2 experienced Project Managers to lead projects onsite at several clients in the UK and Europe to implement the firm’s Energy Trading and Risk Management Software.
The main duties of this role are to:
• Plan and monitor each project; produce plans and schedules for individual project stages, ensuring agreement with the client and steering committees
• Lead, encourage and manage the project team, as well as the more junior Project Managers
• Act as the key escalation point for all project issues, resolving all situations with the client in a timely manner
• Assess, control and manage all risks, preparing mitigation and contingency plans
• Project level reporting to all relevant stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Experience / Skills:
• Excellent team management skills
• Knowledge of one of our key markets – power, gas or emissions
• Consulting experience within energy or financial services
• Track record of successful delivery of full lifecycle complex system implementations
• Significant experience of project management delivery
• Experienced at influencing and managing senior level clients
• Competent presenting to C level
• Commercially astute
• PMP or similar level certification
• Experience managing projects with budgets of $2million, and project teams of up to 10 consultants
• Good knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
• Degree-educated or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
Desirable Experience / Skills:
• ETRM experience
• Experience in developing a project management practice and methodology
• Experience mentoring more junior project resources
• Fluent in an additional European language
