2 x Valuations IPV controllers recruitment
A Top Tier Investment Bank is expanding its Fixed income Business with a focus on the flow business supporting the APAC business. My client is looking for 2 x Emerging Markets Valuations Specialist to join the team and work closely with the Front Office and other business areas with regards to process improvement.
Valuations Control Responsibilities:
- Undertaking daily Independent Price Verfication (IPV) for the flow business Rates, Fx, Credit in all Asia markets)
- Ensures that EM APAC valuation policy and reporting requirements are consistent and in line with the other EM areas globally (LATAM/EMEA).
- Key contact for the business and global valuation teams with regards to valuation issues for EM APAC.
- Perform and analyses the price testing results, identifying any potential risk areas in terms of valuation.
- Leveraging front office pricing models and adopting these for IPV purposes using independent parameters
- Represent EM APAC Valuation for any global valuation/reserves initiatives and projects.
- Production and review of all relevant reserving methodologies relevant to the business
Experience:
- Strong technical degree in Mathematics or Finance related disciplines
- Strong knowledge of structured and flow products
- Up to 5 years of relevant experiences in Product Control/Valuations/Middle office/Market Risk, with specific exposure to Rates, Credit and Structured products within the Emerging Markets space.
- Self motivator with the ability to identify and resolve issues with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication skills
