The Role

Bloomberg's Research and Development department offers exciting opportunities for highly-motivated individuals seeking a challenging technical role in the financial industry. An extensive 10 week training program will provide technical and financial skills needed to succeed in Bloomberg's fast-paced and dynamic organization. Successful applicants will be involved in the design and development of state-of-the-art financial information software products. The position can lead to a variety of career paths, including technologist and financial specialist.

Qualifications

-Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science or related fields. Related degrees must include the following course work:

o Data Structures

o Algorithms

o Operating Systems

o Two computer programming courses

-Strong technical skills

-Advanced problem solving skills

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills

-Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a desire to design and develop financial software applications

-Minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher

-Available to start work full time in February 2012 - August 2012

-Positions are located in both New York, New York and Princeton, New Jersey
