2012 Financial Software Development – Entry Level recruitment

The Role

Bloomberg, the premier financial technology firm, offers exciting opportunities for highly motivated software developers to build and enhance its state of the art line of products. An extensive initial 10 week training program will provide technical and financial skills needed to succeed in Bloomberg's fast-paced and dynamic organization. After training, you will immediately join a team where you will gain early responsibility for the full lifecycle of a portion of our product; making a tangible contribution to the design and implementation of software. This position leads to a variety of career paths, ranging from highly technical to more finance orientated and client-facing roles.

Requirements

- BA/BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science or related fields or similar professional experience.
- Strong interest in programming.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Self-motivated and detail orientated with a desire to design and develop financial software applications.
- Driven to analyze business problems and translate them into working software applications.
- Available to start work full time in August or November 2012.
