A leading provider of Low Latency market data are looking to build out their London NOC team. As a result an exciting opportunity is available for a 2nd Line NOC Engineer. As a technology company, my client invests into the industries very best technology.
As the 2nd line NOC Engineer, you will be working with technology such as Cisco - Routing, Switching and Firewalls at CCNA to CCNP level. You will work extensively with Multicast, switched / routed network.
As the 2nd Line NOC Engineer you will be;
* Monitoring the network and infrastructure to ensure SLA (Service Level Agreements)
* Troubleshooting and Identifying complex data network issues and using well structure tools and methods to resolve problems
* You will be dealing with issues escalated by clients or other areas of the business

To be considered for the role of - 2nd Line NOC engineer, Network Engineer, Multicast, NPLS, GBP, OSPF, Low Latency, CCNP, Routing, Switching, Cisco Firewalls- you will need skills and experience in the following:
* A background working in a small NOC team within financial services would be highly beneficial
* You will need to have a solid network background, such as:
* CCNA - CCNP level Cisco certification
* Experience working with Routing, Switching and Firewalls
* Multicast experience is essential - working from the point of signal execution and (switched / routed network)
* Have worked with NPLS, GBP, OSPF network environments
* Excellent communication skills are essential
* Career motivated with a passion for technology and a desire to learn is essential
