Position Title: 2nd Shift CNC Supervisor
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Location: St Louis, MO
Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $60-$80,000/year
Job Summary
New supervisory position on second shift. Responsible for the work efforts of 5-7 employees running 8 CNC machines. You must have experience with the programming, setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting of Swiss type CNC equipment. Must be able to train employees in the proper setup and operation of Swiss CNC machines.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform complex set-ups, shut downs, and optimizes machine parameters and inputs
Programs, edits, sets up, and operates CNC Swiss Screw Machines
Training of employees on the proper operation and setup of CNC equipment.
Uses independent judgment for tooling selection, part inspection, and routine maintenance on the machines
Performs tool change and offsets as necessary
Qualifications
Ability to use standard inspection tools such as Calipers and Micrometers.
Capable of altering programs and codes to produce parts deal with the issues caused by difficult materials.
Good understanding of tooling, inserts, and machining techniques.
Self-sufficient in all areas of responsibility, safety conscious behavior on the job.
Has a good mechanical aptitude, excellent problem solving skills and communication skills.
Must be able to read and interpret part drawings.

Desired Minimum Qualifications
Swiss lathe programming and set up experience, 2 years minimum.
Knowledge of manual or cam software programming is needed.
Be able to program with CNC software such as Mastercam, Smartcam, Partmaker, Unigraphics, Gibbs, or ESPRIT.
The ideal candidate will have Fanuc controls experience.
Knowledge of Swiss lathes such as Star, Citizen, Tornos Deco, Tsugami, Nexturn, Nomura, Hanwha, Maier, Hardinge and/or Traub is required.
Knowledge of Star or Tsugami Swiss lathes is preferred.
Knowledge of Mori-Sieki, Mazak, Hardinge, okuma, Daewoo, Toyoda, Hurco, or Hass is beneficial.
Past experience training machinists on new processes and set ups is a plus.
