As a Second Vice President, Product Marketing, you will be responsible for the marketing activities for your products. You will own the “go to market” strategy and craft the messaging and positioning for your products. You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs to serve the needs of participants, plan sponsors, and financial advisors. You will also be responsible for providing product positioning to internal audiences, such as, PR, New Business, and Sales.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates RPS products in the market.
• Ensure an effective messaging strategy to work across all channels, delivering effective results.
• Market intelligence – be the expert on your “customers,” and be the expert on your competition.
• Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products.
• Sales enablements – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products.
• Monitor and identify new communication media and trends to apply to creative communication solutions.
• Manage communications development within project budgets and timelines.
• Ensure that all communications meet compliance and quality requirements.
• When applicable, measure results of communications and compare to industry and RPS benchmarks. Incorporate feedback/learnings into development of new communications.
Qualifications:
• 7 - 10 years of marketing experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
• B2C and B2B experience desired.
• Working knowledge and experience within all communications channels (online, print, electronic, presentations, social media) and with communication trends
• A Bachelor’s Degree in advertising communications, marketing or equivalent
• Demonstrated communications and interpersonal skills
• Strong project management skills
• Must be able to work well across all departments, and have exhibited experience in using influence and negotiation skills
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and proficient at dealing effectively with associates at all levels
