3D Animator (OE Battle Lab) Job in Fort Leavenworth 66027, Kansas Us

TRISA OELab is seeking a 3D Animator who can animate a series of realistic polygonal objects, vehicles and character models for simulations and simulators within ARMY MS domains. The candidate must have the ability to take direction from the project team leader; and have a basic understanding of a production workflow. The individual must be able to effectively communicate between members of the production and technical development team. In addition, the candidate must possess the ability to manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining at all times a positive and professional attitude.

The 3D Animator will be responsible in the construction of a variety of rigs for an array of mobile and dynamic weapons, characters, vehicles and their damage states. The candidate must be able to identify and solve problems; and be motivated and driven to achieve better results thru innovation.

As part of our Creative Engineering Team, the new team member will also be involved in the research of alternate materials and processes to be used in the production of our designs, while preserving the highest quality levels and keeping the integrity of the design and functionality throughout the manufacturing process.

Required Skills:
- Minimal BS/BA in Animation, Architecture and Design, and/or Game Development from an accredited University, College or Animation school
- 3-5 years experience in gaming, film or related field
- Proficiency with 3D production software (Maya and/or 3DS Max, Motionbuilder)
- Experience with Adobe software (After Effects, Encore, Flash; or comparable editing software)
- Have strong skinning and rigging skills
- Must have an eye for detail - An understanding of the human anatomy
- The candidate must provide an electronic demo reel, or web link that illustrates a full design skill-set as a 3D Animator and Rigger
- Must possess excellent communication skills both verbally and visually
- The candidates must have excellent organizational skills (goal setting, working towards milestones, etc.) and the ability to work in a team environment
- Must have Secret Clearance and able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
