3rd Line Support recruitment

Responsible for providing third-line technical support for all server infrastructure, covering the following areas:
·Servers and Operating Systems
·Storage devices (disks, controllers, tape libraries, network attached storage (NAS), Storage Area Networks (SANs), NetApp storage array, etc.)
·Infrastructure appliances (Ironport, Bluecoat, etc.)

·End-to-end support and management of the operational server infrastructure:
oMaintenance and support, including patch management, hardware and software upgrades
oPerformance monitoring and tuning
oConfiguration and reconfiguration of servers and managed devices
oMonitor and maintain the IT elements of Server/Comms Rooms

·Day-to-day 3rd line technical support:
oHandle calls passed to or escalated to 3rd line support, further analyse nature of technical fault and assess impact on the business
oProvide resolutions to calls or issues escalated to 3rd line support in accordance with internal best practices
oEnsure technical changes adhere to the Change Management process
oCover for Service Desk in case of absence

·Solid experience of working as a 3rd Line Technical Support Analyst within a Server team within an IT Operations department
·Experience in designing and implementing technical solutions including support of Servers, Desktops, Operating Systems and Applications
·Good experience of technical troubleshooting and problem solving
·Experience with the delivery of information through external service providers
Experience within the Asset/ Hedge or Investment Management preferred

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) on Windows Server 2008
Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)
NetApp Certified Data Management Administrator (NCDA)
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or
VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)
