Meijer is currently looking for a 3rd Shift Grocery/GM Stocking Area Team Leader. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for providing remarkable productive product replenishment/restocking of Grocery and General Merchandise products within budgeted activity based labor earned hours. The individual will also develop a team that consistently meets goals for productivity and customer service. Key Responsibilities Include: Delivering on Brand Promises through team execution; i.e., "Provide an easy shopping experience for our customers" Modeling exceptional, fast and friendly customer service Reviewing daily inbound product flow in Grocery and General Merchandise Keys Scheduling Team Members according to Activity Based Labor (ABL) earned hours Maintaining proper staffing levels on production shift Training all Team Members to execute all activities to required production levels Maintaining back room organization in Grocery and General Merchandise Areas Interfacing with Store Leadership regarding inventory discrepancy and product flow issues Maintaining Team Member performance reporting in the Grocery and General Merchandise production process Monitoring Team Member work practices and providing corrective action where necessary Identifying business issues that impede labor control, profitability, customer service and in-stock position and taking the appropriate corrective action through communication and/or process improvement recommendations Maintaining 100% ad in stock throughout the Grocery and General Merchandise Areas Ensuring product rotation process meets corporate guidelines Cross-training team members to allow flexibility in scheduling and assurance that required tasks are completed daily Providing a safe work environment Maintaining high sanitation levels throughout sales floor and backroom Developing potential team members to assume additional responsibilities as the need arises Reviewing daily schedules to work load Making appropriate adjustments to daily staffing levels based on work load Coordinating/creating/building daily work assignments for stocking team There is a 45 hours (non-exempt) pay base for this position Other daily tasks as required
