3rd Year Analyst – BUYSIDE Mezzanine FUND – LONDON recruitment

You will sit next to the associates of the firm and report directly to the partners- so they are looking for someone to hit the ground running within the team. This is a new exciting experience where you will have the opportunity to work alongside the top analysts and traders within the investment, corporate finance and credit space. This is a new role on the team and they are looking to increase their team during the course of this year. Their team is currently made up of top investment banking/ restructuring professionals and hence they will be expecting you to put all your previous training to good use.

Role:

• You will be trained in producing trade recommendation, suggesting new trades and covering both new and existing names.  

• Responsible for identifying under- and over-valued companies at this event-driven hedge fund specialized in European midcaps (AUM c.$200m) utilizing a bottom-up approach.

• Placing and monitoring orders in the market (mostly credit but also some derivatives/FX transactions as part of the hedging strategy).

• Proactive, quick thinking approach required.

This is not entry level or junior role BUT ONLY FOR applicants with more that 12 MONTHS experience in an INVESTMENT BANK or RESTRUCTURING HOUSE.

The ideal candidate will have spent 2-3 years directly in a top tier investment bank or alternatively come from one of the following backgrounds:-

ü Within restructuring at a leading accountancy firm

ü Within a leading distressed debt advisory firm.

ü Within a distressed special situations, credit analytics group within a bank.
