The People Services Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the design and implementation of department services, policies, and programs. In addition, this role coordinates and delivers recruitment activities and the ongoing development of a superior workforce. ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide recruiting and staffing activities by working with managers to fulfill department staffing needs including: o Coordination of recruiting activities with employment agencies, and online and other recruiting sources to source job applicants; writing copy and placing of employment advertisements and online and internal job postings. o Screening of resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews. o Conduct background/reference checks, creation and presentation of employment offers. o Maintenance of resumes, application forms, and applicant flow logs in compliance with applicable laws. Provide on-boarding orientation for new team members, including benefits enrollment; inspect documentation and license information to ensure compliance with laws and policies, partner on maintenance of team member files - hard copy and electronic. Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of team member services such as the health and wellness, safety awareness, and team member recognition programs. Act as primary point of contact for all HR systems including the time and labor online, learning management and performance management tracking systems Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing new benefit programs and policies; administer the annual Open Enrollment process; draft and distribute benefits communications for team members and managers. Communicate with team members on benefits questions; assist in making claims; research and resolve claims and other issues. Assist in the administration of leaves of absence policies; maintain communication with team members on leave; work with supervisors to coordinate team member return to work as scheduled. Establish and maintain personnel files and records including HRIS, ensuring confidentiality of same; gather and analyze data and provide supervisors and others with routine and special reports (e.g., turnover, hiring statistics,); and ensure timely preparation and submission of team member information to government agencies as required by law. Maintain working knowledge of labor and related laws, industry trends, and effective human resources practices through participation in seminars and classes, membership in professional organizations, reading and contacts in the industry.
