We are offering a position as a Project Engineer at ABB Oy, Power Systems unit in Vaasa. You will actively participate in the development of substation primary engineering. Your varying responsibilities will cover all aspects of electromechanical design, from base design, calculations, design drawings, documentation, etc., to final delivery. As substation project engineer you will design, prepare and review primary aspects of projects, such as layout and sections views, earthing grid, steel structures, installation drawings, etc. You will collaborate with chief project engineers and project managers as well as subcontractors in international projects. We require a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering, or a degree in Engineering with a major in one of the aforementioned subjects. Studies in electrical and civil engineering are an advantage. We require a basic knowledge of applicable standards (IEC, SFS, Eurocode). Knowledge of substation layouts and structures is appreciated. You are a good communicator, you make things happen, and you don't object to travel. You speak and write English fluently. Other language skills (Finnish, Swedish, Russian) are an advantage. Knowledge of CAD, particularly MicroStation, is appreciated. Knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and Lotus Notes is an advantage.
