ABB – Supply Chain Manager

We are offering a position as a Supply Chain Manager at ABB Oy, Transformers unit in Vaasa. In this position, you will manage the supply chain and lead the local SCM team. Managing material supply, purchasing, warehousing and transportation will be a part of your duties. You will also be responsible for strategic planning, selecting local suppliers and contract management. To ensure a worldwide and world-class supply chain, you will focus on improving efficiency and developing the performance of both the suppliers and your own team. Close cooperation with our global supply management teams will be important in achieving the targets. We require a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in engineering, economics or a similar subject and several years of experience in supply chain management. Experience in project management is an advantage. You have a profound understanding of complex supply chains and industrial economics. You have what it takes to develop supplier cooperation and cost-effectiveness. A systematic and active way of working as well as the ability to manage and motivate people will help you succeed in this job. You know how to balance strategic long-term actions and daily operations. You speak and write English and Finnish well. You are familiar with SAP, preferably especially the MM module.
