Aboriginal Cadetships in Nursing or Allied Health

Cadetships offer
- Study allowance of $600 per fortnight
- Employment for up to 12 weeks in your local Public Hospital
- Clinical support mentoring
- Ongoing employment once graduated

Applicants must be of Australian Aboriginal descent, identify as an Aboriginal person, be a resident of NSW and be enrolled or enrolling in full time study at a University or Tafe, studying either Nursing or Allied Health subjects.

 

Being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent is a genuine occupational qualification for this position and is authorised under Section 14 (d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

 

This is a Temporary Full Time position until 31/01/15, classified as a Technical Assistant Grade 1.  The location of the site is negotiable between Queanbeyan, Moruya, Batemans Bay, Goulburn, Yass, Pambula, Cooma and Bega which belong to NSW Health.

Employed in a learning capacity, to work towards attaining competency as an allied health professional. The work placement should be planned to compliment the theoretical component of the Cadet's course of study.
