ABS & Distressed Asset Product Controller
The Principal Trading desk was recently created from the merger of the Equity Prop trading team and Strategic Credit team. The desk has a mandate to seek opportunities across Fixed Income and Equity markets and is continuing to build out thebusiness wherever they see opportunities. The desk trade the full gamut of conventional credit and equity relative value strategies as well as research led investment into high yield and illiquid assets.
The role will be technically challenging from both a valuations (price testing and reserving) and accounting (US GAAP and UK GAAP) perspective. There will be a high degree of Senior Management liaison required given the high profile of this Business withinthe IB.
Principal Trading Product Control resides under the responsibility of Cross Asset Product Control within EMEA specifically that remit covers Business Resource Management Trading (CVA and FVA), the Cross Asset/Hybrid Credit Businesses and the Portfolio Restructuring Group so the role offers the candidate huge scope to learn and develop across a multitude of assets classes.
