ACA | ACCA Accountant

This Top 100 firm, based in Warrington are keen to appoint a qualified/ part qualified Accountant to join their busy team at their head offices.

This Accountant position will be responsible for preparing accounting information and working papers, assisting the Senior Accountants and providing cover during busy periods and periods of absence as well as prepare management accounts and income references for clients, draft statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and FRSSE (2007) and preparing corporation tax computations and CT600 returns. As well as this you will be required to complete self-assessment tax returns and submit accounts to HMRC and Companies House alongside dealing with ad hoc enquiries from clients.

This Accountant's role will have to assist with the production of P11D reports from accounting information and be required to understand PAYE and wage matters as well as tax planning administration and new client matters. You will assist all staff in meeting the day to day demands from clients and providing adequate assistance in answering relevant questions from clients alongside undertaking any other duties and responsibilities that are necessary.

In order to undertake this role you will be ACA/ ACCA qualified or studying towards it, and have experience working with an accountancy practice. You will also have good knowledge and understanding of UK GAAP and taxation and be able to manage a portfolio of clients.
