We require an Analyst for our experienced team in our Global Financial Advisory business.
Role Responsibilities:
- Researching the industries in which our clients operate to support senior bankers’ marketing initiatives, using all sources of information
- Includes keeping teams’ industry databases and credentials up to date
- Includes contributing content to pitch books by conducting ad-hoc analysis
- Developing and maintaining standard or bespoke financial models under guidance from seniors
- Using a range of valuation techniques to support the advice provided to clients
- Includes discounted cash flows, trading comps analysis, transaction comps analysis, and LBO-based valuations
- Assisting in drafting selling documentation (Information Memorandum, Prospectuses) and offer reports as appropriate
- Supporting the team in co-ordinating the transaction process both internally and with other advisers
Candidate Requirements:
Skills
- Teamwork – ability to build effective relationships between individuals, teams, lines of business and across geographical/cultural boundaries
- Communication – ability to communicate clearly, persuade and influence; good listening skills
- Ability to be proactive, preserve, overcome setbacks and deliver results
- Ability to recognise fee-generating opportunities
- Understanding of the fundamental principles and the application of appropriate techniques. Enthusiasm for developing these skills and applying these skills creatively
- Ability to build long term, professional client relationships that add value to the client and lead to the expansion of the business
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Qualifications/registrations
- Strong academics
- A levels or equivalent - ABB or above
- Degree or equivalent – 2:1 or above
- ACA (or equivalent) qualified accountant with first time passes from a ‘Big 4’ accounting firm or;
- Investment banker with at least 12 months experience in MA or;
- Qualified lawyer with Corporate experience
