The Academic Dean is responsible for planning, developing,
facilitating, and coordinating academic programs reporting to the Vice President of Instruction of Wharton County Junior College. The Dean oversees these educational programs to ensure they are in compliance with state and regional accreditation and
certification standards and meet any State and/or Federal agency guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
This position requires a Master's degree from a regionally
accredited institution. A minimum of five (5) years supervisory
experience as an academic program director in a community
college or university and two (2) years of teaching experience at the high school or college level is required. Knowledge of
budgeting, planning, and monitoring instructional programs
required. This position requires the ability to work effectively with a diverse and multi-cultural student body.
