Exciting opportunity with our Verification Services Sales team! 

 

The successful applicant will be responsible for selling UL’s WiSE (Wireless, Interoperability, Payments and Security, Electro Magnetic Compatibility) product testing and certification services to manufacturers of products that are intended for use within a wide range of industry applications. The successful candidate will work from a combination of the UL Melville Long Island EMC test facility and their home office base and should ideally be located in the NY Long Island area.

 

The sales territory will include the North Eastern States from Maryland up and the Eastern Half of Canada.

 

Experience in selling EMC and or Wireless testing/certification or products required.

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Present and Sell UL’s extensive range of WiSE services and other UL primary BU services portfolios to existing and new potential customers.

·         Research and assesses sales opportunities consistent with UL and sector strategies and objectives and identify the decision-makers in the prospective organization. Builds and maintains a relationship with the decision-makers at established accounts.

·         Develops comprehensive account plans that address the strategic needs of the customer and business growth for UL.

·         Must develop multi-level service sales by researching and resolving customer design, development and product certification problems for key/high value accounts and high opportunity prospects.

·         Use in depth knowledge gained within the account and of UL’s full set of offerings to develop annual contract proposals.

·         Mentor and coach assigned inside sales staff as required maximizing the team’s effectiveness.

·         Assists the Sales Team Leader and Sales Manager in analyzing sales results and identifying realistic development opportunities for each assigned key account.

·         Prepares sales reports etc. as requested by Sales Team Leader and Sales Manager.

·         Performs other duties as directed.

 

Requirements

·         University Degree (Equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree), preferably in a technical, business or a related discipline.

·         Will have completed recognized sales training programs and must possess a minimum of five years outside sales experience in a relevant or related industry, including experience selling to strategic or major accounts using consultative sales techniques.

·         Ability and confidence to setup, meet with, present and sell at senior levels within client accounts.

·         Should have some working knowledge of sales contact management systems.

·         Must have competent computer skills in MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
